This page explains what data we collect, what it is for, how long we keep it and what you can require of us at any time.

What data we collect
When you visit the site
We count page views and visits, and record which domain you came from and what kind of screen you are on — phone, tablet or computer. We do not store your IP address, we use no advertising cookies and we share nothing with third parties. These counts are anonymous and cannot lead back to you.
This counting only happens if you allow it. Until you answer the notice we measure nothing, and you can change your mind at any time on the cookies page.
When you write to us
The contact form asks for your name, email and message. We use them to reply to you, and for nothing else.
When you buy
To process an order we need your name, email, phone, delivery address and, if you want the invoice to carry a tax number, that number. This data is needed to perform the contract and to meet our tax obligations.
We do not store card details. Payment goes through IfThenPay (Multibanco, MB WAY and Payshop); the payment data is handled by them and by your bank, and never passes through us.
On what legal basis
- Performance of the contract — order and delivery data.
- Legal obligation — invoicing and tax records.
- Consent — audience measurement and, if you subscribe, the newsletter. You can withdraw it whenever you like.
- Legitimate interest — replying to those who write to us.
How long we keep it

Who else has access
Only those needed for the service to work, and always under a data processing agreement: the site host (Vercel Inc.), the database (MongoDB Atlas), the payment service (IfThenPay), the carrier that brings you the order, and our accountant. We sell data to no one, under any circumstances.
The host and the database may process data outside the European Union. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
Your rights
At any time, and without having to give a reason, you may:
- Know what data we hold about you, and get a copy
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Ask us to erase what is no longer needed
- Object to a processing operation or ask us to restrict it
- Withdraw the consent you gave, without affecting what was done before
Just write to geral@pelcorte.com. We answer within one month. If you feel we did not handle the matter as we should, you may complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados.
Security
The site is always served over an encrypted connection. Passwords for the private area are stored encrypted and never in readable text. Access to the site’s management is limited to those who need it, and each person is given only the areas they need.
Changes to this policy
If we change anything, the date at the top of this page changes with it. If the change is significant, we tell everyone subscribed to the newsletter.
