Prices
Prices are in euros and include VAT at the rate in force. Shipping is shown separately before you confirm the order, and the total you see at the end is what you pay.
Where a price is shown as “from”, it is the price of the piece in its simplest version: the final figure depends on the covering and the finishes chosen.
How to order
The order is recorded when you confirm it, and you get an order number. The contract is only formed once we confirm availability and receive payment. If we cannot fulfil the order, we refund what you paid, in full.
Payment
We accept Multibanco (reference), MB WAY and Payshop, through IfThenPay. Payment data is handled by them; Pelcorte neither receives nor stores card details.
The Multibanco reference has an expiry date. Once it passes without payment, the order is cancelled and the pieces become available again.
Delivery
We deliver to mainland Portugal and the islands. The lead time shown on each piece starts from payment confirmation and is a production estimate: these are upholstered pieces made to order, not warehouse stock.
If there is a significant delay, we tell you. Under the law, if we do not deliver within the agreed period you may set a reasonable additional period and, if that is not met, terminate the contract and be refunded.
Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer, you have 14 days from receiving the piece to withdraw from the purchase, without having to give a reason. Just tell us in writing at geral@pelcorte.com.
Note one important exception: the law excludes from this right goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised. Almost every Pelcorte piece is made to order, with the covering, colour and finishes the client chooses — and those carry no right of withdrawal. We say so before you confirm the order, and if in doubt, ask us before buying.
For pieces where the right does apply, we refund everything you paid, including standard outbound shipping, within 14 days of receiving the return. Return costs are yours, and the piece must come back in a condition fit for resale.
Guarantee
Pieces carry a 3-year legal guarantee of conformity from delivery, under Portuguese Decree-Law 84/2021. During that period, if there is a lack of conformity, you are entitled to repair, replacement, a price reduction or termination of the contract, in that order of priority.
The guarantee does not cover normal wear, damage from misuse, cleaning with unsuitable products, or alterations made by third parties. Natural variation in the tone and texture of leathers and fabrics is not a defect — it is what the material is.
If something goes wrong
Talk to us first: geral@pelcorte.com or +351 224 114 973. Most situations are settled right there.
If we cannot agree, in a consumer dispute you may turn to CICAP — Centro de Informação de Consumo e Arbitragem do Porto, the competent alternative dispute resolution body. You may also use the European online dispute resolution platform and the Portuguese electronic complaints book.
Intellectual property
The photographs, drawings, piece names and texts on this site belong to Pelcorte and may not be reproduced without written permission.
Governing law
Portuguese law applies. In consumer disputes, the courts of the consumer’s place of residence have jurisdiction, as the law provides.
